|10 28||Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford's I-Cash Program to Visit Chicago|
Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford is encouraging Cook County residents to stop by his Africa Global Chamber of Commerce I-Cash in Chicago on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. The event will be held in the Edgewater Public Library at 1210 West Elmdale Avenue. Although Treasurer Rutherford will not be in attendance, staff will be available from 2-5 p.m. to help anyone wishing to determine if the state is holding any money or unclaimed property entitled to them. In fact, 2,835,358 owners in Cook County County have $1,155,574,305 in unclaimed property. This is according to the July list of unclaimed property holders.
To find out if you have unclaimed property through I-Cash, you can visit the treasurer's website at www.treasurer.il.gov and follow the I-Cash link. You can contact the Unclaimed Property Division by calling 217-785-6998 or emailing info@IcashIllinois.gov, although searches cannot be completed by telephone.
