They would either use a pallet jack or forklift to move the material. At the end of the line where the plastic cups come down the line, they ensure the packers have boxes ready to pack the product. They ensure there are pallets ready for the boxes to go on. They place the boxes on the pallets, then move the pallet to the shrink wrap machine, then take the boxes to the shipping department, using a pallet jack or forklift. They will not be on the forklift all the time, it’s about 25% of the job. They do a lot of running around keeping the line stocked. They would also be responsible for watching the line if the operator goes on break and reporting any issues to the Lead or Supervisor. The candidate needs to have experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferably a year or more) working on an assembly line. They would need to have forklift experience.
